Community-led change in rural Morocco

The Atlas Cultural Foundation partners with underserved communities in rural Morocco to enhance quality of life through a holistic approach driven by local leadership.

SUPPORT OUR WORK

Since 2009, the Atlas Cultural Foundation has worked alongside underserved communities in rural Morocco to remove barriers and build conditions for individuals and communities to thrive.

  • ACF partners with communities in the Zawiya Ahansal region, located in Morocco’s High Atlas mountains, and the Ighels Oasis village, located on the edge of the Sahara Desert.

  • ACF’s work is grounded in our Poverty Reduction, Empowerment and Sustainability Model (PRESM). We support projects that have strong community support and local ownership. Our approach addresses the root causes that hold these communities back and create lasting, community-led change. ACF is a non-denominational and non-political organization.

  • ACF’s U.S. Board is an all-female board, composed of women from different corners of the world, each deeply committed to helping Moroccans thrive. We are all volunteers and operate without a paid Executive Director, so that 100% of donations directly support our programming in Morocco.
