Adirondack Sustainable Communities, Inc. ACF is a project of Adirondack Sustainable Communities, Inc., a registered 501(c)3 organization with EIN # 20-2015699. ASCI provides technical, legal, managerial and financial oversight to the ACF board and staff.
Iqra Fund is ACF’s health and education partner. Iqra Fund operates in remote villages in Pakistan and Morocco, providing opportunities for women and children to improve their quality of life through education. Iqra brings experience and extensive knowledge about community health and education programs in remote areas of the Muslim world. ACF and Iqra are working together on girl’s scholarship programs, primary school tutoring programs, preschool development and community health trainings.
Association Amezray SMNID Association Amezray SMNID is a registered Moroccan community association focused on the advancement of the quality of life in the region of Zawiya Ahansal. SMNID is ACF’s in-country partner and liaison between government ministries, officials, tribal leaders and the local Berber people of Zawiya Ahansal.
The Moroccan Ministry of Culture In 2010, Cloe Medina Erickson, founder of ACF received official approval from the Moroccan Ministry of Culture to restore the historic building in the region of Zawiya Ahansal.
Montana State University ACF has collaborated with the Montana State University Office of International Programs and School of Architecture since 2009 on the international service learning program Morocco: Sustainable Community Development. ACF and MSU provide university students the opportunity to work on ACF’s projects in Morocco while living and working with the local Berber inhabitants.
American Institute for Maghrib Studies Established in 1984, the American Institute for Maghrib Studies (AIMS) is a private, non-profit educational organization that works to facilitate research in North Africa and encourage the free exchange of information between American and North African scholars. AIMS is affiliated with ACF and its cultural heritage programs and research.
